ILOILO City – A heated argument led to hacking in Barangay Francisco, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, police said.
The 24-year-old resident Mateo Castin was rushed to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district due to hack wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Ryan Molina, also resident of the village, was tagged as the suspect.
According to police investigators, Castin and Molina were having a drinking binge around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday when an altercation ensued between them. This prompted to Molina to hack Castin on the left arm, the investigators added.
Officers of the Barotac Viejo municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against Molina, who fled after the incident./PN
