BACOLOD City – In fit of jealousy, a woman was hacked to death by her husband in Barangay Igmayaan, Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental.
The 33-year old Rengie Hebong was accused of killing his wife Alona, who died of multiple hack wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Prior to the incident, Alona and Rengi figured in an argument around 7 a.m. on Feb 15, police said.
Alona reportedly admitted to Rengi of having an affair with another man. This prompted Rengi to attack his wife using a bolo.
The suspect voluntarily turned himself in to the police. He was detained in the lockup facility of Don Salvador Benedicto municipal police station, facing charges./PN
