BACOLOD City – Junry Abalorio died after the motorcycle he was driving crashed along the national highway in Barangay Poblacion, Mabinay, Negros Oriental, a police report showed.
Sustaining head and body injuries, the resident of Barangay Tadlong in the town was taken to the Mabinay Medicare Community Hospital where he was pronounced “dead on arrival.”
Abalorio was on his way home from Barangay Poblacion when his motorcycle overshot a descending curved road on Wednesday, police said, citing initial investigation.
He hit some pedestrians – all residents of Barangay Lumbangan – walking in the area at the time, police said. The pedestrians sustained injuries but these were not fatal, added the police, who did not disclose names.
It was not immediately clear what the condition of Abalorio was at the time of the crash. Investigation continues./PN
