BACOLOD City – A 41-year-old man was arrested after police discovered a hand grenade, an unlicensed firearm, and suspected shabu during a raid in Purok Tilapia, Barangay 3, on March 12.
The suspect was identified as Lomar Onggada, a resident of the place.
Personnel from the Bacolod City Police Station 2 executed the search warrant at approximately 5:20 p.m. Recovered from the suspect’s possession were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one handheld grenade, and a caliber .45 pistol with a magazine loaded with five rounds of live ammunition.
Initial police intelligence suggests that Onggada is a suspect in several shooting incidents reported across Bacolod City.
The suspect is currently detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2. He will be charged for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
