Man stabbed to death in New Lucena

ILOILO – An 18-year-old lad was stabbed dead in Barangay Cabugao, New Lucena town around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 20.

Gerry Rizo Tresquio, a resident of the town’s Barangay Wari-Wari, succumbed to a stab wound on his chest.

According to the New Lucena police, the suspect identified as alias “Pope,” 18, and a resident of Barangay Cabugao, remained at large.

Police Captain Ryan S. Orleans, chief of New Lucena Municipal Police Station, said a heated argument ensued between the victim’s group and the suspect, prompting the latter to stab the victim.

Orleans added the two had an old grudge./PN
