CAPIZ – A man survived along the river in Barangay Jagnaya, Jamindan town after he was swept away by the strong water current yesterday morning.
According to Lieutenant Levirato Cagampang Jr., officer-in-charge of the Jamindan Municipal Police Station, alias “Fred” went down the river from a bridge to remove debris when he was carried by the strong current at around 9 a.m.
The man was able to grab onto a tree branch, which allowed him to stabilize and eventually escape the rushing water.
Cagampang added that he was swept approximately 300 to 400 meters downstream./PN
