AKLAN – A 21-year-old man was accused of blackmailing a woman by threatening to release explicit videos unless she engaged in sexual acts with him at a lodging house in Numancia town in this province.
The Numancia Municipal Police Station filed a sextortion case against alias “Jun” at the Prosecutor’s Office, with authorities seeking further investigation into the blackmail incident.
As of this writing, police were awaiting a court order to access the suspect’s cellphone to examine conversations between him and the victim.
Initial investigation showed that the suspect allegedly hacked the woman’s Facebook account, gaining access to private videos that he later used for blackmail.
The suspect was later apprehended following an entrapment operation after the victim sought police assistance./PN
