Man swept away in Jamindan river

CAPIZ – A 48-year-old man was swept away by the strong river current in Sitio Agtupgop, Barangay San Juan in Jamindan town.

The body of Roberto Sarandona, a resident of the place, was found past 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, after nearly two days of search operations by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Jamindan Bureau of Fire Protection, Jamindan police, and local residents.

Sarandona was carried away by the rushing waters around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 while crossing the river with his child, sibling, and nephew after a fishing trip./PN
