ILOILO City – A marine engineering student possessing marijuana was arrested outside a club at Smallville entertainment complex in Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao district, a police report showed.
Kyle Haresco was detained at the Mandurriao police station after his arrest at around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The 19-year-old resident of Zarraga, Iloilo goes to a maritime university in Molo, police said.
Prism Nightlife security guard Shalom Joaquiño wanted to inspect the sling bag of Haresco, who was about to enter the club, but the latter refused and became unruly, stated the police report.
Joaquiño sought help from police officers on standby, Joseph Villanueva and Andro Aritanio, in arresting Haresco.
Upon inspection of Haresco’s bag, the officers found a sachet of marijuana, a lighter, and what the police identified as an “improvised pipe used in sniffing drugs.”
