THE newest innovator in the Iloilo health industry, the Metro Iloilo Hospital & Medical Center, Inc., (MIHMC) has officially opened its doors to serve the public, after a grand opening ceremony on July 17, attended by a slew of respected government officials, the doctors and staff of the hospital, and investors and stakeholders of the facility.

“One of the challenges faced by health care providers is how our patients perceive our interactions with them,” read the official message of Department of Health (DOH) secretary Dr. Francisco Duque III during kickoff ceremony, represented by DOH-6 regional director Marlyn Convocar.

“It is in this light that we continue to urge all hospitals to continue to strive harder in order to achieve quality patient-centered care for all Filipinos. Treat them always with respect and ensure that their experience during their stay in your health facility is optimal,” the letter continued.
