“Wala may nag-challenge so we can go ahead nga i-award sa original proponent, hopefully this week or next week,” siling pa sini.

Nagabalor sang P12.349 bilyon ang proyekto kag ginakabig nga pinakadaku nga JVA sa gwa sang Metro Manila.

“At this point in time, we are now at the brink nga ma-takeover na sang private corporation ang distribution,” sunu kay Laurente.

Naglawig ang proseso sang JVA bangod maid-id nga ginsunod ang kaundan sang 2013 Revised Joint Venture Guidelines sang National Economic Development Authority (NEDA).

“We are very transparent in dealing with PPP (private public partnership). During the negotiation  we are being assisted by the USAID. After na-complete ang negotiation, we published it. The deadline was November 22 for those entity na gusto i-challenge ang proposal but on November 22 wala kami na-receive na challenger,” paathag ni Laurente.

“It is a joint venture corporations meaning may share ang water district, it is not a privatization. After 25 years, it will be turned over back to the water district ang whatever improvement they made as stated in the agreement or i-renew ang agreement . The personality of the MIWD still remains as government-owned and controlled corporation. So whatever proposal or increases, it will be evaluated subject to LWUAs’ evaluation,” paathag ni Magsusi./PB
