ILOILO City – The National Police Commission (Napolcom) picked the Molo police station as the best among the six police stations in this city.
“It is our responsibility as police officers to keep the community peaceful and orderly. We are very thankful that barangay captains usually cooperate with us,” said Chief Inspector Marlon Valencia, Molo police station chief.
Valencia was also recognized as Best Chief of Police together with Senior Inspector Rey Sumagaysay, La Paz police chief.
According to Valencia, they conduct Oplan Tokhang every morning and pulong-pulong at the barangays at least once a week to listen to the concerns of the public and discuss solutions.
“We are inspired to serve knowing that the people trust us,” said Valencia.
The awards of Valencia and Molo police station were part of the annual inspection and management audit conducted from Sept. 20 to Oct. 3, said Napolcom Region 6 investigator Allen Camiring.
The police stations were judged based on the following criteria:
- accomplishment – 25 percent

records management – 20 percent

best practices / innovations – 20 percent

readiness – 15 percent

clients’ satisfaction – 15 percent
