ILOILO City – The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) confiscated P12.1 million worth of shabu and arrested 81 individuals involved in the illegal drug trade during a series of month-long operations.
According to ICPO records, between September 1 and 30, various police stations conducted 47 operations that resulted in the seizure of 1,928.763 grams of shabu, valued at approximately P12.1 million.
The Iloilo City Police Station 1 (ICPS1) led the operations, seizing P1.3 million worth of shabu and arresting six drug personalities in five operations.
Following closely was Iloilo City Police Station 9 (ICPS9), which confiscated P418,024 worth of illegal drugs and arrested 10 suspects in five separate operations.
Meanwhile, Iloilo City Police Station 2 (ICPS2) ranked third, seizing a total of P956,279 worth of shabu and arresting 10 drug pushers in four operations.
ICPO director Colonel Kim Legada praised the efforts of his police chiefs and urged them to sustain their intensified operations against illegal drugs.
“Continue your efforts against drug individuals in your areas of responsibility. Review your lists, track their whereabouts, and conduct operations. There must be no let-up in the fight against drug peddlers,” Legada told his officers./PN
