ILOILO City – Fifteen sachets of suspected shabu were seized from a motorboat operator from Barangay Santo Rosario, Buenavista, Guimaras.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6 operatives arrested the 43-year-old Roseval Solon at around 7:15 p.m. on Friday in Barangay West Timawa, Molo district.

Solon yielded 14 sachets of suspected shabu on top of the one he sold to an undercover PDEA agent for P500, the agency said.

All the recovered items had an estimated street value of P20,000, said PDEA regional director Wardley Getalla.

Solon was detained at the PDEA Region 6 custodial facility.

He admitted to once using prohibited drugs but denied owning the items seized from him.

Solon was facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Getalla said antidrug operatives placed Solon under surveillance for more than a week prior to the operation./PN
