ILOILO City – A collision between a motorcycle and a sports utility vehicle left a woman in Pototan, Iloilo dead.
The 47-year-old Adelfa Franciliso of Barangay Lay-ahan, Pototan lost a lot of blood, according to the records of the Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan where she was taken on Saturday around 4 p.m.
A Ford Everest driven by Jose Edmundo Dayot, 19, hit the motorcycle that was transporting Franciliso, according to the Pototan police.
Franciliso’s husband Jolende was driving the motorcycle. He survived the collision.
“Na-overlap sang Ford ang linya sang motor. Suno kay Jolende, malikaw pa siya, tani nga ihulog na lang ang motorcycle sa talamnan. Galing na-sideswipe gihapon ang ulihi nga parte sang motor,” said Police Officer 2 Raffy Gonsalez, investigator of the Pototan police station.
Dayot admitted to the police he was driving fast, said Gonsalez.
The Ford Everest was from Lambunao, Iloilo and was taking a shorter to in Barangay Lay-ahan. It had two passengers who were unhurt.
Aside from losing so much blood, Adelfa’s leg was broken.
Dayot was detained at the Pototan police station./PN
