BACOLOD City – A 28-year-old motorcycle rider died following a fatal road accident at the intersection of Burgos and Lacson streets in Barangay 19 here over the weekend.
Police identified the victim as alias “Scotch”, a resident of Sagay City, Negros Occidental. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to severe body injuries.
Initial investigation by the Bacolod City police revealed that the victim’s motorcycle was traveling west to east when it collided with a car from the south area at around 3 a.m. on October 11.
The car’s driver was identified as alias “Zhiyong,” a Chinese national temporarily residing in Barangay Villamonte in this city.
He was taken into custody by the police pending further investigation and proper legal disposition./PN
