ILOILO City – Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are aiming to reach P2 million in sales in this year’s Ilonggo Food, Arts and Crafts Festival, which opened yesterday at SM City mall.

Fifty-six MSMEs joined the July 17 to 23 fair organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
DTI-Iloilo director Diosdado Cadena Jr. said the festival would provide a “wider and greater” exposure of local products.

“This undertaking would generate sales for our MSMEs. This is a venue to let our future buyers see the development of the products of our MSMEs,” he said.

Some of these MSME owners were graduates of the recently concluded Kapatid Mentor Me program, others were beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, Cadena said.

The festival features processed food, accessories, and health and wellness products, among others.
Cadena invited the public to check out the display of MSMEs and buy their products.
He hopes the MSMEs would be able to reach or even surpass their sales targets. (PNA)
