Murcia top cop sacked over ‘messy’ station

BACOLOD City – The chief of police in the town of Murcia, Negros Occidental has been relieved from his post after a surprise inspection by Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 director Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan.

Pamuspusan ordered the relief of Major Roberto Indiape after he saw pillows and laundry strewn all over the station’s finance office.

According to Colonel Romeo Baleros, chief of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO), Pamuspusan made a surprise visit to the municipal police station in the evening of Oct. 21.

Aside for Indiape, two other non-commissioned police officers were also sacked. They were identified as the owners of the pillows and laundry, said Baleros.

He added the two cops will be transferred to the Hinoba-an and Candoni police stations, while Indiape was re-assigned to the NOPPO headquarters in this city.

On his part, Indiape said he is waiting for the document of his relief since he has not yet received as of this writing the official order for his transfer.

Pamuspusan also inspected the police stations in some areas of Negros Occidental.

During his visit in La Carlota City Police Station, Pamuspusan also gave the “Medalya ng Papuri” award to the local police station for maintaining cleanliness./PN
