ILOILO – A man was arrested in Passi City while applying for a police clearance.
Suspect “JL” has an existing warrant of arrest for frustrated murder under Criminal Case No. 29367-68.
Executive Master Sergeant Leo Angelo Castro, public information officer at Passi City Police Station, said during the Ilonggo Cops on Air program that the suspect was caught through the centralized system of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
“Right then and there, gin-aresto naton sya,” said Castro. The suspect’s arrest was carried out last Friday, Feb. 2.
He is currently under the custody of the Passi City police.
The PNP started using the National Police Clearance System in 2016 based on the order of the Department of the Interior and Local Government./PN
