BACOLOD City – A total of P646,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a successful anti-illegal drug operation at approximately 11:41 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, in Purok Roadside 2, Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City.

The apprehended drug suspect was identified as 30-year-old “Hapon,” a resident of the said barangay.

He was found to be in possession of approximately 95 grams of suspected shabu.

The arrest was carried out through the collaborative efforts of the Special Operations Unit 6-Drug Enforcement Group, Bacolod City’s Police Station 6 Drug Enforcement Team, Regional Intelligence Unit 6, and Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group-Visayas Field Unit.

“Hapon” is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and is currently in the custody of Police Station 6./PN
