
ILOILO City – The Iloilo MVP Taekwondo Gym stable of head coach Denmark Pinggol dominated the recently-concluded 2019 Iloilo PRISAA Meet taekwondo competition here.
Pinggol told Panay News he had 18 taekwondo jins qualified to play as Iloilo City representatives in the in the 2019 Integrated Meet slated next month.
Overall, the MVP taekwondo jins, which came from various schools in Iloilo City, garnered 30 golds, eight silvers and eight bronze medals.
“I am pleased with the way they performed here,” said Pinggol. “My taekwondo jins were able to keep in step with tough opponents from other schools here in Iloilo. But they will still keep on improving.”
Aside from ILOPRISAA, Pinggol’s taekwondo jins also showed their wares in the recent Region 6B Philippine Taekwondo League where they emerged as overall champion in junior women and runner-up in junior men.
Kate Sheevanie Santocildes was declared the Most Valuable Player for Pinggol’s stable in the junior women’s category./PN
