BINIBINING Pilipinas International Myrna Esguerra continues to deliver her A-game as the Miss International 2025 pageant approaches the homestretch, with the delegates here undergoing the crucial preliminary evaluation phase of the competition in Tokyo, Japan.
The pre-final event was held at the Miss Paris Grandhall of the Professional University of Beauty & Wellness in Yokohama, south of Tokyo, on Monday afternoon, Nov. 24.
The 80 delegates were evaluated for beauty during the gown round, followed by the swimsuit segment where they were rated for fitness and wellness.
They also delivered their respective speeches, where they discussed their Miss International experience, and their Sustainable Development Goals initiatives.
Esguerra paraded in a yellow gown with solihiya-patterned details by Rich Sabinian, then slipped into a white maillot for the swimsuit portion.
She put her hair in a neat, high bun for both segments, and retained the hairdo for the speech round, where she wore a green terno.
Last week, she wore a sampaguita-inspired white modern Maria Clara gown made of pearl beads.
Esguerra won her Binibining Pilipinas crown at the national pageant’s 60th edition in 2024, giving her more than a year to prepare for her International competition.
She hopes to follow former Filipino Miss International titleholders Gemma Cruz (1964), Aurora Pijuan (1970), Melanie Marquez (1979), Precious Lara Quigaman (2005), Bea Rose Santiago (2013), and Kylie Verzosa (2016).
Philippine-based production company Aika Events and Productions is in charge of mounting the 63rd Miss International final gala at the Yoyogi National 2nd Gymnasium in Tokyo on Thursday evening, Nov. 27.
The events and production company has been in charge of staging the grand coronation night shows of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant for three years now, including the 60th anniversary edition in 2024.
Aika Events and Productions is the first Filipino team tapped by the International Cultural Association to stage the Miss International pageant.
