DENVER Nuggets completed their fight back from 15 points down to defeat Toronto Raptors in overtime, 127-125, in the 2024-25 NBA season on Monday night (Tuesday in the Philippines) at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.

Nikola Jokić led the way with a double-double of 40 points and 10 rebounds to go with four assists, two blocks, and a steal as the Nuggets finally nailed their first win of the season after a 0-2 start.

Jamal Murray and Christian Braun added 17 markers apiece, Aaron Gordon contributed 16 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists, while Michael Porter Jr. ended with 13 points for Denver.

After being down by as many as 15 points in the second half, the Nuggets slowly clawed their way back until they forced an overtime on a reverse layup by Murray.

With the Nuggets holding to a 127-125 edge in the extension period, the Raptors had a chance to snatch the win but RJ Barrett missed a three-point attempt at the buzzer.

Scottie Barnes finished with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists, Barrett added 20 markers, Jacob Poeltl and Damion Mitchell had 16 each, while Gracey Dick and Ochai Agbaji ended with 15 apiece as the Raptors dropped to 1-3.
