NCAA BASKETBALL: San Sebastian wallops CSB

MANILA – San Sebastian College Stags continued its rise in the NCAA Season 95 men’s basketball with its 83-67 domination of College of St. Benilde Blazers on Thursday night at the San Juan Arena.

Allyn Bulanadi waxed hot with 32 points, including five triples, while RK Ilagan and Alvin Capobres added 13 and 12 markers, respectively.

The Stags improved to 7-3 win-loss slate.

Bulanadi caught fire early on offense. The Stags immediately dominated the Blazers after the first two quarters. SSC continued its romp on the CSB in the second half to lead by as much as 25 points.

“Allyn naman always has the green light to shoot,” said Stags head coach Egay Macaraya. “And ‘yun yung sabi ko sa kanila. Lahat ng tumalo sa amin nasa top four. Good thing natalo namin Benilde na isa din sa mga contenders for the Final Four.”

Yankie Haruna was the sole bright spot for the Blazers with 16 points and nine rebounds while Justin Gutang had nine points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists as they dropped to 6-4 slate.

Meanwhile, the Lyceum of the Philippines Pirates tied the Stags at second spot with 7-3 slate following its 89-74 victory over the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Altas.

Jaycee Marcelino and Mike Nzeusseu led the Pirates with 21 points each, while Reymar Caduyac had an all-around performance of 11 points, nine assists, and six rebounds./PN
