Nearly 3K Anini-y residents vaccinated in 3 days

ANINI-Y, Antique – A total of 2,625 residents here chose to be vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) during the recent National Vaccination Days from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.

Data from the Municipal Health Office (MHO) showed the following number of vaccinees during those days:

* Nov. 29 – 749

* Nov. 30 – 775

* Dec. 1 – 1,101

Mayor Maxfil Pollicar thanked all those who made the vaccination campaign possible – MHO headed by Dr. Yolanda Cabañas, Barangay Health Workers, (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), 23 punong barangays, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and volunteers.

“Congratulations to all the vaccinees. Thank you to all Anininhons for your active participation, cooperation and support,” said Pollicar.

He urged those not yet vaccinated to take the jab, too, and stressed that pediatric vaccination is also ongoing for youngsters from 12 to 17 years old.
