Negrense Ordiales to play for DLSU Lady Spikers in UAAP

Jessa Ordiales – a native of Talisay, Negros Occidental – will play for the De La Salle University Lady Spikers.

MANILA – Still midway to its title-retention bid in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball, De La Salle University Lady Spikers were already making its moves for next season after securing the commitment of Negrense Jessa Ordiales.

The Talisay, Negros Occidental native confirmed her transfer to the many-time UAAP women’s volleyball champions and is already attending the Lady Spikers’ practices.

“DLSU is my dream school so when the opportunity to play here came, I did not think twice of grabbing it. Also, DLSU is one of the top schools in the country in terms of quality of education,” Ordiales said.

She added: “I see this also as an opportunity for me to improve my volleyball skills. I also hope to contribute to their winning tradition by applying what we practice, use my own intellect in regards with playing strategy with the help of my skills.”

Ordiales will be a welcome addition for the Lady Spikers with the impending graduation of Lourdes Clemente and Ilongga Aduke Ogunsaya and Norielle Ipac already in their final year next season.

Ordiales was a former standout of Living Stones International School-Bacolod before suiting up for the National University Lady Bullpups in the UAAP Season 81 juniors volleyball.

At the Lady Spikers, the 5-foot-11 Ordiales will also be joining fellow former Living Stones standout Matet Espina, who was not inserted into the DLSU lineup this season due to an injury./PN
