NGCP warns of 12-hour power interruption in Bacolod, NegOcc

BACOLOD City – Due to maintenance activities, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) has scheduled a 12-hour power interruption on Sept. 12. This will affect two electric cooperatives in Negros Occidental.

The power interruption will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in some franchise areas of Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) and Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (Noceco).

According to Ceneco, the power service interruption will affect Ceneco’s Alijis, Murcia, Sum-ag and Lag-asan substations.

The affected areas would be parts of the cities of Bacolod and Bago.

For Noceco, the franchise areas affected are the towns of Pulupandan, Valladolid and San Enrique; parts of Pontevedra, La Carlota City and Hinigaran, due to the maintenance activities for the Bacolod-San Enrique 69 kilovolt transmission line.

Meanwhile, Ceneco is informing its member-consumer-owners (MCOs) of the 43rd Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) on Sept. 26 at 12 noon to 5 p.m. through an online teleconference.

Ceneco acting-general manager Danny Pondevilla is encouraging MCOs to attend the annual event and be aware of the cooperative’s operations for the year 2018-2020.
