UNITED States President Donald Trump has released details of his “Arc de Triomphe” or in English, “Arch of Triumph”, but what triumph is it celebrating?
Trump is desperately looking for any “triumph” he can claim given the failures with the Iran War, a potential failure with the release of the Epstein files, and not forgetting his past casino failures.
Any monument can be renamed and fame is rarely permanent and many names once praised are now condemned as shown with another Epstein contact Andrew Eindsor Mountbatten being a recent example.
Praise your heroes but never yourself.

Up, up and away, and back
The Artemis II adventure is going well, reminding the baby boomers of the Apollo program and inspiring the youth of today to look up, especially to look up from their phones.
It is pleasing to see the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) use non-exploding rockets, unlike those one of the other space agencies seems to frequently use.
The flight has also shown that science doesn’t yet have all the answers, including toilet maintenance, a bit of a nuisance when you can’t just go outside for a quick pee.
The microphone worked well until the US members didn’t want to use it to talk with President Trump.
We can hope this will continue, people land on the moon again, head for Mars and whatever happens after that.

Trump always chickens out. What a cop out.
There are many evil, deluded and deranged people out there and occasionally a few that meet all categories.
Donald Trump has now made the list, possibly in position one, with his threat that a “whole civilization will die tonight” although now there is a two-week wait to see if that happens. Even Adolf Hitler, usually considered the most evil man, didn’t achieve that in years although he caused the death of millions.
The great majority of any countries people are hard-working, citizens and they are not military targets. It doesn’t matter if they dint like you or support someone you want gone, they are still citizens.
It’s time to implement Amendment 25 of the Constitution and get rid of Trump, or be seen as a partner of a war crime leadership team.

Saying too much, doing too little
Spencer W. Kimball said, “Profanity is the effort of a feeble brain to express itself forcibly.” And now we see confirmation of this with President Trump’s latest posting.
A presidential communication should be clear, informative and purposeful. It should also be checked a dozen times before it leaves the keyboard. The profanity was unnecessary and becomes the most reported part of the message.
Leave the negotiations to professional negotiators. I am sure every world leader would be happy to contribute so that the world can get back to normal or since he is also an apparently very religious person there would be many religious leaders that could help as well.
It looks like the US can’t rely on their own leaders to do the right thing or even the nice thing.

A lot of pocket change
Although exact details concerning what the Trump Iran “war” is costing in just dollars is hard to confirm, but it seems horrifying. The US is spending somewhere between one and two billion dollars a day.
President Trump had asked for a massive 40% increase in military spending with an emergency handout of $200 billion for the Iran war that math suggests will therefore last for up to 100 or more days.
What would $200 billion do for education, health, accommodation? It’s not likely it will ever be known as it wouldn’t suit Trump’s personal priorities.
War should be the last answer, not the first./PN
