BACOLOD City – Police authorities are still eyeing the motive behind the shooting incident on Tuesday in Bangga Pepsi, Barangay Bata in this city.

Northern Negros Electric Cooperative area manager Engr. Simon Peter Abalayan, 40, a resident of Country Homes, Phase 1, Barangay Estefania was shot by an unidentified man around 6:15 p.m.

Abalayan, who sustained five gunshot wounds on his body, is currently being treated at Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospital in Barangay Mandalagan.

Police Station 3 recovered five empty shells of a firearm at the crime scene.

Citing witnesses, the police said the suspect fled using a motorcycle.
