ANTIQUE – A husband died while his wife was injured after their motorcycle was hit by a Toyota Avanza in Barangay Cadajug, Laua-an town.
Laua-an police said the 59-year-old alias “Boyet” fell into the drainage canal while his wife, alias “Lyn,” a teacher, was thrown off the motorcycle.
Boyet succumbed to severe body injuries while receiving treatment at Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose town.
Lyn, who sustained injuries in the different parts of her body, was also brought to the same hospital.
According to the Laua-an Municipal Police Station (MPS), alias “Ben,” the driver of the Avanza, fell asleep while driving and accidentally crossed the part of the road and crashed against the motorcycle of the victims around 3:05 p.m. on Monday, July 15.
The driver was taken into custody by the Laua-an MPS for proper disposition./PN
