GUIMARAS – As of Oct. 14, 30,305 individuals here have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Of these vaccinees, 18,556 received Sinovac, 4,541 had AstraZeneca, 6,141 had Janssen, 459 had Moderna, and 608 had Pfizer.
They included healthcare workers, senior citizens, persons with comorbidities, uniformed personnel, and indigents.
Currently waiting for their second doses to be considered fully vaccinated too are 38,265 individuals whose first does were Sinovac (24,838), AstraZeneca (4,717), Moderna (481), and Pfizer (2,088).

The provincial government of Guimaras hopes to vaccinate 130,908 Guimarasnons (target population). It has been using vaccines supplied by the Department of Health (DOH).
Guimaras has so far received 78,864 COVID vaccine doses broken down as follows:
* Sinovac – 53,554 doses
* Pfizer – 8,790 doses
* AstraZeneca – 8,120 doses
* Janssen – 6,000 doses
* Moderna – 2,400 doses
As of Oct. 19, Guimaras had 102 active COVID cases, 2,850 cases that recovered and 147 that died.
The active cases were from the towns of Nueva Valencia (29), San Lorenzo (23), Buenavista (21), Jordan (18), and Sibunag (11)./PN
