Over 700 Antiqueños receive wages under DOLE’s TUPAD program

ANTIQUE – Gov. Paolo Javier led the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) payout on Monday, October 6, for beneficiaries from four municipalities — Bugasong, Barbaza, San Jose de Buenavista, and Hamtic.

According to DOLE Antique data, a total of 747 TUPAD workers received their respective payroll slips, entitling them to a salary of P5,130 each or P513 per day. The payout can be claimed through any Palawan Pawnshop branch near their area.

The beneficiaries include 175 workers from Bugasong, 184 from Barbaza, 214 from San Jose de Buenavista, and 174 from Hamtic, representing various barangays in their respective municipalities.

Gov. Javier expressed his gratitude to Sen. Loren Legarda and Cong. AA Legarda, acknowledging their support and efforts in making the program possible for the people of Antique.

Meanwhile, several residents also extended their thanks for the P500 electricity subsidy, saying it provides additional relief alongside the TUPAD assistance.

“We are happy that our Antiqueños continue to receive programs that help them sustain their daily needs,” Gov. Javier said./PN
