Over P800K worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Pototan drug bust

ILOILO – Antidrug operatives confiscated around P850,000 worth of alleged shabu weighing 125 grams from four suspects in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cato-ogan, Pototan town.

The operation carried out by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit early yesterday morning also led to the arrest of high-value suspect alias “Jonito”, 33; and aliases “Rico”, 26, and “Florentino”, 38.

Police said the primary target identified as alias “Joemar”, 36, managed to evade capture and remained at large. A manhunt operation was ongoing as of this writing to apprehend him.

The arrested suspects, meanwhile, are now in the custody of the Pototan Municipal Police Station. They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
