BACOLOD City – Two high-value drug suspects were arrested in Purok Nawasa, Barangay San Jose, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental on Wednesday afternoon, May 22.
Construction worker Rex Navarro, 47, and farmer Domingo Robles, 45, both residents of the said village, yielded 156 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P1.06 million.
Joint operatives of the Binalbagan Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Police Regional Office 6’s Drug Enforcement Group also recovered P1,000 buy-bust money and non-drug-related items.
Police Major Randy Babor, chief of Binalbagan MPS, said Robles and Domingo were ex-prisoners. The latter was previously jailed for illegal drug case while the former was imprisoned for a murder charge.
The suspects were detained at the custodial facility of Binalbagan MPS, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
