P17-T ‘shabu’ seized in Molo

ILOILO City – Suspected shabu valued at around P17,000 was recovered in an antidrug operation in Barangay Zone 6, Molo district.

The suspected illegal drugs were confiscated from the 51-year-old resident Eduardo Braño, a police report showed.

Braño was caught after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer for P1,100 around 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 31, the report added.

Joint personnel from the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Molo district police station staged the sting operation.

When frisked, Braño yielded 14 more sachets of suspected shabu.

He was detained in the lockup facility of the Molo police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
