
BACOLOD City – The elements of the La Carlota City police station recovered P240,000 worth of suspected shabu and a gun from a resident of Barangay La Granja, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental during a raid.
The subject was Kene Mañoso, 41. His house was searched at about 6:40 a.m. on Aug. 30.
Lieutenant Colonel Lowell G. Garinganao, La Carlota City police station commander, led the raid.
Six big plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 30 grams were recovered, and so was a .45 pistol, ammunition, and illegal drug paraphernalia.
Garinganao said the station received information that Mañoso was illegally selling firearms.
Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Cyclamen Jison Fernandez issued the search warrant on Aug. 25, 2022.
Charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act were filed against the suspect.
