164 Negros fugitives fall

BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) arrested a total of 164 wanted persons in a 24-hour simultaneous focused police operation.

Nineteen municipal and 12 city police stations, two provincial mobile force companies and the Provincial Intelligence Unit of NOCPPO mobilized their tracker teams on Aug. 30.

Of the 164 arrested suspects, eight were classified as “most wanted”.

Of the total 31 police stations in the province, the Victorias City Police Station (CPS) had the highest number of apprehended wanted persons at 24. It was followed by Bago City with 16; and Silay City with 11.

According to the NOCPPO Public Information Office, simultaneous operations were conducted by police units in line with the peace and security framework of General Rodolfo Santos Azurin Jr., the Philippine National Police chief – the Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan Tungo sa Kaunlaran or M+K+K=K./PN
