BACOLOD City – Twenty-five big sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P3.4 million were seized in a buy-bust operation in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental yesterday afternoon.
Joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6 (PDEA-6) and the San Carlos City police station arrested 39-year-old Emil Mariano, a resident of the city’s Burgos Street, Barangay 6.
Authorities tagged Mariano as a “high value” drug suspect.
Also recovered from the suspect were P10,000 in buy-bust money.
His motorcycle was impounded, too.
Mariano was detained in the lockup cell of the San Carlos City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
