ILOILO — A suspected high-value drug personality was arrested after yielding approximately 90 grams of alleged shabu valued at P612,000 during an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Passi City on Tuesday night, September 15.
Police identified the suspect as alias “Nognog,” 24, a construction worker residing in the city’s Barangay Poblacion Ilaya.
Operatives from the Passi City Component Police Station (CPS), led by Police Lieutenant Colonel German Magbanua III, executed the buy-bust operation at around 9:25 p.m., leading to the suspect’s immediate arrest and the confiscation of the illegal drugs.
Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) director Colonel Bayani M. Razalan commended the operating team and acknowledged the community’s alertness in aiding law enforcement.
“Our campaign against illegal drugs remains relentless, and we will continue to pursue individuals monitored to be involved in the illicit drug trade to spare our communities from the menace of illegal drugs,” Razalan said.
The suspect is currently held at the Passi City CPS, facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
