ILOILO City – The police recovered a total P8,300 from five suspected illegal numbers games bet collectors in Barangay San Isidro, Jaro district.
The cops believed the money were illegal gambling bets.
In various peso denominations, the cash were seized from Henry Salas, Helen Jabat, Ritchel Aguirre, Rogelio Dela Cruz, and John Rey Gervacio, all residents of Barangay San Isidro.
The suspects were detained at the lock-up cell of the Jaro police station around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The cops arrested the suspects after receiving information that the five were illegal gambling bet collectors and were set to remit their collections.
Also recovered from the suspects were pieces of paper./PN
