BACOLOD City – A church minister (pastor) was shot by two gunmen inside a church in Sitio Talangka, Barangay Tan-awan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Fifty-year-old Abner Navarro, a resident of the village, was taken to the city’s Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital.
The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. on July 28.
According to the police, the pastor was with his brother-in-law, Silas Bokingkito, when they noticed rays of flashlight pointing at the church.
Navarro stood up to check but was suddenly shot, police said.
Bokingkito named two suspects but only by their aliases, Totong and Nonoy.
Police said the suspects were notorious thieves./PN
