SAN JOSE, Antique – The province’s banner products were showcased in a local exhibit dubbed as “Pasundayag 2018” at Robinsons Mall in this capital town.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) paired up with micro, small and medium enterprises in the province to organize the exhibit, just in time for the national games of the State Colleges and Universities Association, which was held from Feb. 18 to Feb. 23.

DTI provincial director Mercedes Young lauded local entrepreneurs in coming up with the display of the best products from the province.

“The event has paved the way for introducing Antique’s products to other regions in the country and the global community in general,” Young said.

The trade fair has generated initial sales and has booked orders amounting to over P1 million.

A total of 30 local entrepreneurs participated in the event, with their products like peanuts, taru chips, banana, strawberry, coconut-based products, muscovado sugar, cacao, tea made of various herbs/plants (turmeric, ginger, lemon grass, and guyabano) vegetables, handicraft , local woven patadyong products, wall decors, and accessories, among others.
