ILOILO – The anti-drug operatives of the Pavia Municipal Police Station (MPS) in this province have seized approximately 90 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P612,000.
The buy-bust operation, carried out by the Station Drug Enforcement Team of Pavia MPS, took place at around 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, in Barangay Balabag, Pavia.
Suspect alias “Dodoy”, 41, and a resident of the town’s Barangay Ungka II, was arrested following the sale of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer.
He was classified as a high-value individual, Pavia police said.
The suspect was detained at the Pavia MPS. He will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“This successful operation reflects the dedication and vigilance of your Ilonggo cops in our ongoing fight against illegal drugs. We will persist in our efforts to rid our communities of these harmful substances and bring to justice those involved in this illegal trade,” said Colonel Bayani Razalan, director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO).
