ILOILO City – Police arrested a man in a drug buy-bust operation at the public plaza of Jaro district.
He was Jerry Joaquin, 37, of Barangay Aganan, Pavia, Iloilo, police said.
Joaquin, a former construction worker, was nabbed after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop for P600, the police added.
When frisked, Joaquin yielded seven more sachets of suspected illegal drugs.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit Team staged the operation around 9 p.m. on Nov. 5.
Joaquin was detained in the lockup cell of the Jaro police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him./PN
