The Generals kept themselves in the playoff race after improving to 3-3 win-loss slate.

Michael Mabulac finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way for the winning team.

“I wasn’t expecting for us to pull off this win knowing na Go for Gold is very strong individually. I think we’re just lucky that we got this one,” said Generals head coach Oliver Bunyi.

Kris Porter led the way with 22 points and six rebounds, while James Martinez and Ron Dennison combined for 24 markers for the Scratchers, which absorbed its second defeat to fall to 4-2.

Meanwhile, Che’Lu Bar and Grill Revellers torched Centro Escolar University Scorpions from outside to score a 105-80 victory for its fifth straight victory after losing its opening day match.

Jeff Viernes led the way with 22 points, including six triples. Stephen Siruma added 14 points while Ilonggo Chris Bitoon contributed 10 markers for the league-leading Revellers.

“Ang ganda ng shooting namin today. Mahirap kaming talunin pag ganun ang shooting namin,” said Revellers head coach Stevenson Tiu. “Hopefully, ituloy-tuloy na natin ang panalo.”/PN
