KALIBO, Aklan – How exactly will the Philippine Charity and Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) operate under a federal form of government?
Its chairman cannot yet say for certain. “This depends on how our federalism will be implemented,” said Jose Jorge Corpuz.
But it will sure “restructure” if and when the form of Philippine government changes.
President Rodrigo Duterte has been pushing for a federal government.
Right now, Corpuz said the PCSO is strengthening its regional offices as preparation.
Corpuz also asked the Philippine National Police to intensify operations against illegal gambling.
“PCSO’s sales will increase once illegal gambling stops,” he said.
Seventeen towns in Aklan earned P4,898,328.76 from several PCSO services including Keno, Lotto, Sweepstakes, and Small Town Lottery, Corpuz told the press on July 20.
“Every day, PCSO helps thousands of Filipinos by providing medical assistance,” Corpus said. (PNA)
