ILOILO City – Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents arrested a construction worker in a buy-bust operation on Monday night.
The 36-year-old Virgel “Kiaw” Linaogo of Barangay Mansaya, Lapuz district was detained at the custodial facility of PDEA Region 6.
Linaogo sold a sachet of suspected shabu to undercover agents for P300 at around 7 p.m., a spot report from PDEA stated.
He was facing a charge for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
PDEA regional director Wardley Getalla called for a news conference about two hours after the operation.
