BACOLOD City – A member of the militant peasant group National Federation of Sugarcane Workers (NFSW) in Negros Occidental was found lifeless a few kilometers away from her house in Hacienda Susana, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
The 61-year-old Flora Jemola sustained eight stab wounds on the different parts of the body, a police report showed.
Jemola’s body was discovered around 9 .m. on Dec. 21, the report further stated.
Her co-members in the NSFW call the victim “Nanay Flora,” who is the organization’s city-wide chairwoman in Sagay.
Jemola had actively joined several mass cultivation programs (Bungakalan) in several haciendas in Negros Occidental./PN
