ILOILO City – He was hit with a baseball bat on the head, police said.
The 52-year-old pedicab driver Gregorio Nietes Jr. of Barangay Tanza Bonifacio, City Proper was treated by personnel of the Iloilo City Emergency Response Team.
According to the police, Nietes was having a drinking binge along the road around 10 a.m. on Thursday when Elmer Sundia of Barangay Nonoy, City Proper suddenly splashed him with water.
This angered Nietes. A heated argument ensued until Sundia hit him with the baseball bat, the police said.
It was not immediately clear why Sundia took on Nietes.
Sundia was not arrested./PN
