MANILA – Filipino mixed martial arts fighter Geje Eustaquio got back on the winning track after a unanimous decision win over Korean Kim Kyu Sung in the ONE: Enter The Dragon card over the weekend at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The victory served as a bounce-back for Eustaquio just four months removed from losing his ONE flyweight world championship via unanimous decision against Brazilian Adrian Moraes.

Eustaquio, fighting out of Team Lakay, was relentless against his Korean foe despite the latter’s six-inch height advantage. He banked on his signature striking skills.

Eustaquio scored a massive takedown on Kim in the final round to solidify his 12th career victory in 20 matches.

Despite the victory, Eustaquio said that he is far from satisfied with his showing as he aims to regain the lost world title.

“I’m not 100-percent satisfied with my performance,” Eustaquio said. “I’m looking forward to get better and I’m willing to go back to the drawing board and be a better athlete.”

Meanwhile, Riki Corminal (4-5) suffered a submission defeat to Rahul Raju (6-4) when he tapped out in the first round after getting caught in a rear-naked choke./PN
